Columbia Union News

We are blessed to have a dedicated team of principals across the Columbia Union Conference, and they deserve our gratitude for their commitment and sacrifice.

Serving as a school principal is a tough job. It doesn’t matter what type of school it is, what classes are offered or how many students are enrolled. While attempting to provide a quality education, principals typically spend countless hours at school each day and even more hours on school committees at night; juggle the many needs, issues and requests that arise daily; and attempt to keep the students under their watch safe and happy.

“Today is a chance to say thank you to so many people that made this day a reality,” said Terry Forde (fourth from left), president & CEO of Adventist HealthCare, prior to the ribbon cutting.

This comes a week after leaders and members from AHC and the Seventh-day Adventist Church gathered to bless and dedicate the new facility.

Columbia Union Conference Pathfinders eager to trade pins at the upcoming 2019 Chosen International Pathfinder Camporee in Oshkosh, Wisc., August 12–17, will soon have one more option to share. The Columbia Union has created a set of nine pins, available to each Columbia Union Pathfinder.

Each set will contain one large Columbia Union pin and eight conference pins that depict a different scene from King David’s life. These local, separate pins are not complete in themselves but are part of a bigger whole, says Frank Bondurant, vice president for Ministries Development at the union.
