Over 100 years ago, the Seventh-day Adventist Church shifted from a focus on illness to a focus on wholistic healthcare that embraced physical, mental, and spiritual health and healing. Today there are a number of healthcare systems that operate hundreds of facilities. Adventists have two healthcare organizations in the Columbia Union—Adventist Health Care, headquartered in Rockville, Md.; and Kettering Adventist HealthCare, based in Dayton, Ohio. Following the example of Jesus, these organizations provide ministries of healing to thousands every day at nearly 100 facilities in three states.
