Kettering Adventist HealthCare is celebrating the completion of its new cancer center with a ribbon-cutting ceremony for elected officials, community leaders, and Kettering Adventist HealthCare and hospital leadership Wednesday, December 7. The cancer center is located in the new Pavilion building at 3700 Southern Blvd. in Kettering, across the street from Kettering Medical Center.
The $53 million, 120,000 square-foot, five-story, comprehensive cancer center will offer complete coordinated care to patients with specialized treatments to fight cancer. It will house the area’s largest and most private infusion center for cancer patients and will be home to more than 30 cancer physician specialists working together to meet the needs of cancer patients. The center offers unique services such as massage, a specialty boutique, a café tailored for cancer patients’ nutritional needs, and clinical treatment trials.
To make sure patients have immediate access to a full range of high-quality services, this is the only cancer center in the Dayton area attached to a central, flagship hospital with access to an ICU and full surgical unit.
To transform the cancer care experience, Kettering Health Network created a patient advisory council to involve cancer patients and survivors in the center’s development—from the facility’s design to processes and treatments implemented throughout the network.
The cancer center is scheduled to open December 13.
