Attend Columbia Union's August Prayer call

Come together as part of the Columbia Union family August 6 at noon for a special time of prayer. The Allegheny West Conference team will be leading the prayer time and sharing exciting updates about Pentecost 2025, with a special focus on how the youth are getting involved. We will also lift our hearts in prayer for our students and educators as they gear up to head back to school.

Through intentional effort and strategic planning, the staff at Parkersburg Academy (PA) in West Virginia has been dedicated to cultivating a more vibrant spiritual environment by introducing God and nurturing the relationship of each student with Jesus. It is noteworthy that 70 percent of PA's student body comes from families who are not affiliated with the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

The Wholistic Health Experience exhibit is drawing delegates and visitors alike into a space where the Seventh-day Adventist Church’s commitment to whole-person healing takes center stage.

Delegates Support Amendment to Clarify Church Nominating Committee Responsibilities

On July 7, 2025, at the 62nd General Conference (GC) Session in St. Louis, delegates voted to amend Church Manual Chapter 10, “Nominating Committee and the Election Process,” to clarify the distinct role and responsibilities of a church’s nominating committee. 

The committee’s primary function is to recommend individuals for service, not to elect them. The amendment also specifies that the pastor, who chairs the committee, works with the treasurer to determine the eligibility of nominees for church office.
