When my daughter was 3-years-old, she offered to help me “mow the lawn.” In other words, it was a hint to ride on my shoulders. As I mowed, I was in deep turmoil about the seemingly insurmountable challenges and obstacles that life had sent my way. I was so buried in my angst that it took me nearly an hour to actually hear and truly listen to the words my daughter had been singing over and over in her little angelic voice.

From detecting the early stages of cancer to diagnosing COVID-19 and pneumonia, advanced imaging techniques are playing a critical role in the future of health care. To meet the growing demand for skilled technologists, Kettering College’s Advanced Imaging program is utilizing simulator software that gives students hands-on experience with today’s medical imaging technology.

Kettering College held their summer commencement ceremony as a drive-thru ceremony to celebrate its 2020 graduates on Friday, July 10. Over 200 graduates from eight programs participated in the ceremony.

Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, the traditional commencement ceremony had to be canceled. The drive-thru graduation ceremony provided the opportunity to recognize and celebrate the graduates while adhering to CDC social distancing guidelines.
