Allegheny West

The Allegheny West Conference was formed in 1967 when the original Allegheny Conference was divided into two parts, east and west. The conference has 66 congregations, with more than 17,000 members, led by 40 pastors in Ohio, West Virginia, western Virginia, and the northwest corner of Pennsylvania. The Allegheny West Conference operates three parochial schools from kindergarten through eighth-grade.

The conference owns a camping and retreat center outside Columbus that is used for a variety of events. There's also an Adventist Book Center that sells spiritual literature and vegetarian food products. The Adventist Community Services Center in Cincinnati provides meals and clothing for over 1,500 residents monthly, and offers a variety of free classes through its Shiloh Community Enrichment Center. Members from Cincinnati, Dayton, and Columbus also volunteer to work with people in prison and halfway house programs.
